Decisions and Changes....Ones not easily Made

Well.... This has been very tough decision to make. But it's one that I had to make and I believe it's for the best for me at this point of time. Since I moved to GA things have been little crazy, new job, new home, apartment full of boxes, new people, and so on.

I found very hard meeting deadlines and hardly stamping during the week. So, I decided that it'll be the best to step down from the Hanna Stamps! design team. Even with the "approval" of SU! to finish my DT term at the end of the year, I had to make the decision sooner to step down.
As you may have noticed I haven't been posting as much as I did before the move.... I will keep posting my creations, but I can't promise that it'll be every single day.

I am hopping to get back soon to a regular routine and settle down sooner.

With that being said, here is a card I have for you today. I used Of the Earth and On Your Birthday stamp sets for it.

Flores Suaves

Here is a card I made for a friend. I have had the Flores Suaves set since last year when it came out in the Spanish catalog and never really used it. So I wanted to play with it. I love the butterfly and the tulip. I used staz-on ink and stamped them on shimmery white cardstock and then watercolored them with rich razzleberry, orchid opulence, old olive and chocolate chip ink. The sentiment (non-SU!) is stamped on shimmery white cardstock as well with jet black staz-on ink.
Other supplies I used:
paper: Orchid opulence, rich razzleberry, shimmery white, old olive, cottage wall dsp
other: white brads (non-SU), old olive taffeta ribbon (from mistletoe ribbon bundle)

ENJOY!

It's Your Day ... ENJOY!

Yesterday was another rainy day here in GA. So I decided to make a more cheery card. I saw a card created with this set ( I think it was with the bird in the cage) and just had to get it. At first I wasn't "attracted" to this set at all. To make the long story short, this set came in the mail (AKA UPS) on Friday, so I played with it right away. I really like how it turned out. :)
Supplies:
stamps: On your birthday, Chic Boutique
paper: pixie pink, summer sun, whisper white, kaleidoscope dsp
ink: basic black
other: non-SU!: markers, ribbon and flowers

Thanks for All You Do

Here is a card I made back in Philly, right before we moved , in the midst of packing and all the craziness. I never got a chance to take a picture of it and post it here and I have been procrastinating ever since :P But here it is finally :)
I LOVE sunflowers!

To answer a questions about the previous post few people asked me, what I used to color my image. I used alcohol based markers - Copics.
As well the image on this card is colored with them as well.

Christmas Blessings

As I promised, I am sharing a card with you. This is another simple Christmas card. You would think it would take me 15 min to make it, but it took me over an hour, including the design. I had hard time deciding which ribbon to use, which sentiment, colors, background etc. I settled for versamark snowflake background. I used the snowflake stamp from the Patterned Pines Hostess set. And the Dasher single stamp.
The cardstock I used is kraft and real red, and the ribbon is the wide double stitched grosgrain ribbon, I think it's 1 1/4".

Check back tomorrow I may have another eye candy for you ;)

Flight of the Butterfly Suitcase and Card set Class offered again

Hi All,

It has been crazy week so far and I am glad tomorrow is Friday! Work has been busy, which is good, because time seems to go by fast when you are doing something. And I have another busy day tomorrow.
The rain is gone (for now) and the sun came out (about time). The flooding was all around us, but we were lucky and are not affected by the flood. We stayed dry, except a leek in the Master Bathroom from the HVAC vent (because we are on the 3rd floor), hey but we can deal with it. They fixed it today! We even thought about hitting the pool, but I had very bad headache, so we went home after work, and I hit the bed :P until now 10.35pm LoL. I have several creations to share with you, but I still need to take pics. I will be posting one soon.

ANyway, to make the long story short, the Flight of the Butterfly class has been a big hit. And I got few requests if it'll be offered again.
The registration for the class is until September 30th, and the classes will be mailed to you around the middle of October.
So here it is. More details about the class you can find HERE

Patterned Pines

Geez, the weather has been miserable here. It has been raining for days and now there is some major and minor flooding in the Atlanta area, depending on the region. There have been some CRAZY thunders as well. One hit close to my office today and for a moment or two our power went out. I just hope this crazy rain stops soon and the rivers and creeks go back into their banks.
Anyway, here is a card I made today. It's been so hard lately to stamp during the week when I go to work. But I hope I am getting back into the groove of things. I used the Hostess level 1 set from the Holiday Mini for this one. I just loved this set from the first time I saw it. The pines are on one stamp, but I cut them out and mounted them on three separate wood blocks, I liked them better that way. I stamped the pines and the sentiment (the sentiment is non-SU!) with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.
Enjoy!
