Just venting

scroll down for today's post (which is more creative then this one will be )LOL

So ok, I feel like I am losing my sanity. I feel like haunted by nightmares. And it's all about school.
To make the long story short, I am for the second time in my life right before graduation. I supposed to graduate FIVE years ago in Macedonia before I moved to the US, but it didn't happen. It's a long story...and I don't want to talk bad about anyone. But in a way he made me a favor.

So five years later, and 2.5-3 years at Drexel University as a transfer student, I am again on the door of graduation. Things are different now. But the history is haunting me...lol...few days ago I had a dream how few Drexel faculty members met with me, and a friend from PRIMARY SCHOOL!?!?! what's the chance that would ever happen??!?! And they told me since I am a transfer student I will need to take some extra classes, and take some exams, or I can't graduate!!! It was a horrible dream!!! Then I constantly have dreams of MATLAB scripts I need to write for my Senior Design.

ARgHHHHHHHH!!!!
3.5 weeks until the Senior Design is over. And I am not going to talk about my team mates. I will just say I like the Veggie Tales song " We are the pirates who don't do anything"....

Check back soon (probably tomorrow night, since I will be out all day in classes and working on my project) and I will have something for you :) I need to keep my sanity

Cheers!

Here are two simple cards I made today. FOr the first one I used Broken China Distress Ink to sponge the background, and stamped the sentiment and "Flower" with chocolate chip ink, then I tied wide chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. I used PTI white cardstock since it's one layer card and their cardstock is more sturdy.
For the second card I stamped the rose from Fifth Avenue floral with versamark on SHimmery white cardstock and then embossed it with white ep. I sprayed it with water and using paint brush and ink refills I added color to the image. After a bit I used paper towel to absorb the remaining water. Then I cut out the image. I used the little leaves sizzlit for the leaves. Other product used are kiwi kiss satin ribbon, kiwi kiss, riding hood red and pumpkin pie cardstock. I used the sentiment from All holidays stamp set and stamped it with Whisper White craft ink.

Finally Mother's day cards as I promissed

I used All Holidays set, whisper white ink, Manhattan embossing folder, ribbon and glitter (red and dazzling diamonds) . Enjoy. (they are not the best, but it was all I could do for now :( )

Simple Mother's Day cards - on hold

Ok this is so annoying. Finally I was able to put together a card, actually 2, but very simple , since I feel like my mojo has departed from me. The weather is hot, the school stress is high, I have 2-3 weeks left to finish up all projects, exams etc., dreams that haunt me that as transfer student there are new requirements and I can't graduate in June (what a nightmare?!?!)
Anyway, I feel stressed beyong limit, even whatever I say it doesn't make sense. My hubby was cracking up for something I said the other day, as it made NO sense whatsoever.

Anyway, I will try to upload my cards later, since this stinkin' computer doesn't like me (it's on it's way to its own death)
In meanwhile

Here is another pop-up card I made today/yesterday. I was just thinking what else I can do with the Three Tier Cake pop-up die and FLOWER POT came across my mind. So I made one. I put together the cake up-side down, so the smallest circle is on the bottom, and I omitted the largest circle, so the flower pot is not too tall and there is space to put the flowers. I punched the flowers with the FLower Trio punch, and the for leaves I used Small Leaves Sizzlit. Hope you like it.

Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge- Anything but a card

Happy Friday everyone.
This post comes little late, as I was in school and then we had a museum tour (the Penn Museum of Archeology and Anthropology) with my Anthropology professor. It was fun, and guess what? We got to stamp!!! I will show you later.
Today is Friday and it was my turn to host the Hanna Stamps! Friday challenge. And the challenge for this week is : anything but a card. For people who know me, they already know I LOVE to travel and visit different places and get to know different people and cultures. One thing I do when I go somewhere I make sure I buy postcards. So I collect them. When I moved to the US the first thing I brought here was my collection of postcards, a whole pile of them. They are in a shoebox, forgotten, waiting for me to find time to organize them. So I decided to make a box to hold some of them, by size. This is the first one I made (just a start of my organization process which may last for years). I thought TRAIN RILEY is perfect for the job :) Since there have been a LOT of places I have gone with train. As well I used Core'dination paper which I sanded on the edges to give it aged look. Scroll down for complete list of supplies.

SUPPLIES:
stamps: Train Riley by Hanna Stamps!
ink: versafine onix black, real red, old olive, sahara sand, going gray, basic gray, bashful blue
paper: green core'dinations, always artichoke, real red, watercolor,

5 more weeks are left of school. Well 6 more weeks from the term, but being a senior my grades need to be submitted early, before the end of the term. It's really SCARY. I have been in school since 1984 when I started primary school, and now is 2009. I feel like what is next? No more school? If there is no school what am I going to do? LoL...Yeah, get a REAL job. It's really SCARY, at least I feel that way. It means there won't be school anymore, I mean I will be done forever. It's like an end or a looooong journey. And it's been long, I started college in 1996, after 5 years the programm changed, there were some extra classes I had to take, then I moved to the US before I graduated(long story why I didn't graduate in Macedonia, I don't want to talk negatively about anyone, especially not on my blog or on the internet), then I waited 2 years to get my transcripsts and my green card and transfered here where I had to take 3 more years... and 12.5 years later (from the day I started college) here I am... sheesh that's a whole lot of years being in school!!!!

Enought blabing about my school and my education, here is a card I have to share with you today.

SUPPLIES:
stamps: Le Jardin Botanique
ink: chocolate chip, sahara sand, old olive, baja breeze
paper: chocolate chip, baja breeze, watercolor, Parisian Breeze specialty paper
other: cordoroy buttons in Baja Breeze, aqua painter, eyelet border punch
